Lend-A-Hand Initiative
FOR INJURED VETERANS AND THOSE IN FEAR OF EVICTIONS FROM CODE ENFORCEMENT VIOLATIONS
Volunteer help and financial assistance from our community will help support the continuation of this program.
KFMB LEND-A-HAND COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT INITIATIVE
KFMB, with assistance from the town and community through volunteering and sponsorships, started a new program to help homeowners that are unable to take care of repairs of their home due to age, illness, or loss of income and are in threat of code enforcement citations and fines. The program includes a one weekend event where we gather as many volunteers as possible and choose one neighborhood at a time to complete repairs such as painting, fencing, siding, wood rot repairs, and landscape maintenance. All work is strictly outside, and homeowners are notified in the neighborhood we choose.
Lend-a-Hand is an important endeavor, and we are looking for groups and individuals to partner with us in all aspects of the program from planning to obtaining the necessary supplies and sponsorships to providing ample volunteers for event day.
