Fall Trash Off & Environmental Fair
Save the date for our Trash Off & Environmental Fair, Sept. 22, 2018. The event will be held in the Flower Mound High School parking lot, located at 3411 Peters Colony Rd. The community clean up begins early (exact time to come) and is open to all ages, followed by the Environmental Fair with booths from great local vendors! More information, including how and when to register, will be posted here as we get closer to the date. Stay tuned!

Town of Flower Mound Volunteer of the Year
Marilyn Lawson was recognized with the 2017 Outstanding Citizenship Award last month. As a Flower Mound residents of more than 20 years, Marilyn has tirelessly devoted her time to helping make our Town a beautiful place to live. Marilyn has volunteered with Keep Flower Mound Beautiful since 2005 and has been President and Treasurer since 2010, organizing numerous community clean-ups, recycling initiatives, and environmental fairs over the years. In 2013, Marilyn founded the Lend-A-Hand program, which helps homeowners that are unable to take care of home repairs due to age, illness, or loss of income. Earlier this year, she was instrumental in securing the 2017 Governor’s Community Achievement Awards for KFMB, resulting in an upcoming $250,000 landscaping project along a local TxDOT roadway in Flower Mound. Congratulations, Marilyn, and thank you for all you do for our community!
We are looking for Board Members!
Do you have a passion for our community environment and are willing to get your hands dirty? We are a grassroots nonprofit organization that is totally dependent on volunteers. As a board member, you would be required to attend our monthly meetings and participate in our events, especially our large spring and fall clean up events. Flower Mound School Grant Program
We would like to thank everyone who applied for our grant program. The application is now closed. We will announce our winner within the next month. Stay tuned for program announcements and other funding opportunities for your school.
Keep Flower Mound Beautiful (KFMB) is excited to kick off the 2017 schools’ grant program, which awards grants of up to $1000 for environmental projects in our Flower Mound schools. All public and private schools located in the Town of Flower Mound are encouraged to complete an application highlighting a new, current or ongoing project (past, already completed projects are not eligible) that demonstrates a commitment to keeping Flower Mound beautiful through environmental education and/or service.
